Wildlife Connectivity

Every year, herds of Bighorn sheep, Elk, Mule deer, and Pronghorn migrate between their summer and winter ranges. This movement is critical to their survival as it allows wildlife to find food and suitable habitat.

Unfortunately, these migration routes are increasingly cut off by roads and highways, expanding residential development, fences, and energy, mining, and other industrial development.

We are committed to maintaining, enhancing, and restoring migration routes among core wildlife habitats for Nevada’s wildlife so herds can freely roam across a healthy sagebrush-steppe ecosystem.
