Bill updates

NVWF Blog

As most of you know there have been some very disturbing news coming from Carson City on 3 important bills. To start off with we have heard that SJR11 will not be scheduling a workshop and this action will kill the bill. A lot of sportsmen have asked what they can do to help and here is what we have come up with, Lets all send an email to Senator Cancela, Senator Ford and Assembly leadership which is Jason.Frierson@asm.state.nv.us and request they hold a workshop. Starting at 8am on Wednesday lets call Senator Cancela, Senator Ford and let both of them know how discouraged and upset the sportsmen are. This action should actually clog up their phone lines and fill up their inbox. Here is the emails : Yvanna.Cancela@sen.state.nv.us andAaron.Ford@sen.state.nv.us and Jason.Frierson@asm.state.nv.us. The phone numbers to call are Yvanna Cancela 775-684-1427, Aaron Ford 775-684-6502 and Jason Frierson 775-684-8537.
The other bad news is the introduction of two disastrous trapping bills known as SB 364 and SB 365. These bills will all but do away with trapping in the state so as part of your emails and phone calls please let them know how discouraging the introduction of these bills are and to please vote no on both of these bills.
Now to have a big effect we all need to start calling all day long between the hours of 8-5. Share this on all the other pages and with your friends and co workers and hunting, trapping and fishing partners. Let make their day as disturbing as they have made ours! We have all day tomorrow to get the word out so lets make Wednesday a day of sportsmen taking action and our presence in this state know to them!!!
Please forward to everyone and lets get the word out.
